NatureRx: a toolkit for adolescents & providers
We have designed two toolkits as a result of a series of collaborative co-design research processes with youth and providers at the London Children's Hospital-London Health Sciences Center. These toolkits include:
1. Adolescent Sensory Toolkit: co-designed with youth to support nature connections for health & well-being
2. Provider Toolkit: co-designed with providers to support nature prescribing knowledge & competence
Explore the toolkits below.
The NatureRx Toolkit Story
How was the NatureRx Toolkit Created?
The NatureRx Adolescent and Provider Toolkits were created collaboratively with adolescents and providers at the London Children's Hospital and researchers at Western Univresity. They are now being explored as part of a Nature Prescription intervention to support adolescent mental health & well-being. The toolkit design was led by Sophie Paquet for her Master's research, as part of a joint initiative between the Land-based Healing | Nature for Healing program (co-created and led by Dr. Anna Gunz and Nicole Yawney) and the Health of People and the Environment (HOPE) lab, led by Dr. Lesley Gittings. Funding has been provided by the Children's Health Research Institute and Western University Western as as Living Lab initiative (PIs: Gittings, Gunz).
